I have recently seen this configuration in another post, regarding a PC for work and some photoshop:

Motherboard: ASRock B75M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($59.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($39.98 @ Outlet PC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 7750 1GB Video Card ($83.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Antec 450W ATX12V Power Supply ($39.99 @ Mac Mall)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($21.98 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ Outlet PC)
Monitor: Asus VS239H-P 23.0" Monitor ($174.99 @ Best Buy)
Keyboard: Logitech MK120 Wired Slim Keyboard w/Optical Mouse ($16.89 @ Amazon)
Total: $740.53

I am not sure if it would be enough for image processing as well. Maybe I should get a better processor or a better graphics card, or both?

Thanks in advance

I wasn't sure if u wanted to go down in price, or stay at 2000 mark, so i made a system about half way.

Thank you very much.

I will take your configuration as a start point. Maybe I will change processor and motherboard for some without overclocking capabilities (as I do not plan to overclock) and I will look for a wider monitor (maybe 24" or even 27").

Thanks again.

Thank you for your nice sharing. But I wonder wahat do you mean by image processing? The professional manipulating or just the common image editing? I think if you mean the professional image processing, we must have a high requirement on the build. Thanks for that again.
