Solution
It is unnecessary, but it doesn't hurt. It's just that there are almost no games that use hyperthreading, which is all you are paying for in the i7 that you don't have in the i5-3570k.

So I guess it depends on how good a deal it really is. If you can save enough $$ to get the 7950 by dropping down to the i5 do it, you will see better performance in gaming with a 3570k/7950 than a 3770/7870. So its your call really...
Switch the cpu for the i5, and save some, you won't gain any fps with the i7, also you don't need the watercooler for locked cpus.
A 7870 is a good card for gaming, you'll play most games at high settings, but if you can put in there the 7950, the better, also you don't need 16GB ram, 8GB is suffice.

Alright thanks, the 16gb upgrade was free XD but is there something im missing? Like will it get hot or anything? And the reason i got i7 is because i had a good deal for it, is it that unnecessary?
