I am trying to purchase a gaming computer and no I am not interested in building my own before we get into that whole discussion. I am looking at this build for around $1200 which includes a 23" monitor. Do you think this will run most current games pretty well? I went with i7 to future proof a bit since upgrading a graphics card isn't out of my realm of knowledge.

Solution
Get an i5 for gaming. its exactly the same as the i7
Get only 8gb of RAM
Get a PSU from antec, xfx, corsair, seasonic
Use the saved money to get a better GPU

^ +1 to this.

The whole i7 for future proofing doesn't really work, you'll get a new computer before you get anything out of the 'future proof' i7. Unless you're utilising it from day 1 it's not worth it.

Edit: Just noticed, 10GB of RAM, how does one come up with this configuration while sticking to dual or quad channel without ram sticks of different sizes? :/
