my MOBO takes SDRAM DDR Memory up to 3GB. I do alot of Movie Editing, Load Big Apps, and want my PC to be a Power System... is 1 GB of memory Going over Board, or just the right amount for what i want?
Thanks/Rob

You could get away with less. I do a lot of photoshop work and 3d stuff in Autocad amd have a stick of DDR 512MB (Winbond) and a 256MB DDR (Micron) with very good render/process times.

Stay above 512 and you'll be fine. OH and make sure you buy good quality ram makes a BIG difference

Generally for video editing, you can never have enough RAM but 1GB is enough for working smoothly.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

AMD_MAN. You say that, that is the fastest memory thats possible for this board?
The PC2400 and PC2700 sticks are all 184-pin DDR memory.
Does that not infact mean that you you could have pc2100,2400,or 2700.
I havent found any info to argue otherwise.

On Soyos website. It says the fallowing about memory compatiablilty:
System Memory
Three 184-pin DDR SDRAM 2.5V DIMM sockets support up to 3GB
