1.4 Ghz AMD T-Bird 266 fsb
FIC AZ11ea mboard
256 mb pc133 sdram
Visiontek Geforce2 GTS 32mb
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
WD 40gb 7200 HD

Does this system sound good and stable?
I like to play games a lot and I have read about some freezing with similar systems. (maybe the sblive?)
The only parts I am willing to change are
Motherboard and Sound Card

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
thanks

Yeah, SbLive isn't really known for being a stable card. however, the audigy series seems to be pretty good w/ being stable. A lot of people here also favor the Turtle beach Santa Cruz card or any other sound card that has the same sound chip. As for first hand experience in these sound cards, i can't help there. I'm only relaying what i know. Good Luck. Mnx4

With the 686B southbridge you may run into problems with the SB Live! 5.1. If you have your heart set on this setup, just make sure you have the latest 4in1 drivers from VIA.
