    Yes 3.0 is backwards compatible.
  2. Will there be any performance drop if i use 3.0 in 2.0?
  3. thanks
  4. So it'll be enough to play crysis 3??
  5. mine is 1600 x 900
  6. i have 1 more option( Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5 )
  7. i guess if you want to play a powerful game such as crysis 3 you gonna need a powerful GPU such as 7950 2gb and 660ti and above
  8. but hd 7770 is on the minimum section and 8 gb ram is in the high and my processor in the recomended
  9. so i guess 650 ti is better

If you put a card capable of pcie 3.0 in a 2.0 slot. It will run on pcie 2.0 and the difference in performance will be negligible.
  11. in my opinion i would go with the 6870 HD its better and it capable with pci 2.0 if you are so worried about the PCI system and i guess its going well on the 1080p if thats your resolution

the 6870 HD memory interface is 256 otherwise the 650 is 128 that means the 6870 is faster
