Hello everyone I have just finished watching all the newegg "how to build a pc" videos. I am only 13 n turning 14 in October would it be to complicated to build a pc? I know you just push in some parts but all the cables n wires mentioned in the videos made my head explode. I want the pc to be able to play games on medium-high graphics and record Minecraft gameplay with zero lag in hd quality. Is what I'm asking for possible? I don't care if it's amd or intel although I thought the i3 looked good. I am also asking for help because I didn't want to buy parts that were incompatible with other parts....

Building a PC really isn't as hard as it used to be. When I was your age I build an AMD 486 120MHz machine. It has a motherboard full of dip switches and jumpers. You had to set everything manually. It is all done automatically now and through software so you basically just have to get compatible parts and plug them in anymore. For $600 you could build a halfway decent rig for playing Minecraft. What other games do you play? Also, what part do you already have and do not need included in that $600. Do you need the OS? (windows)? There is a sticky thread that helps give us the right information to help you. I'd fill it out and we can get started.

Approximate Purchase Date: October 2013 unless I can convince my dad to just straight up by my $600 worth of computer parts (unlikely).

Budget Range: $600 without shipping n stuff

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, screenrecording, movies, internet, and homework hehehe

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: I have no parts have to start from scratch.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg or amazon I would prefer all the parts to be ordered from one place (if possible)

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Virginia, United States.

Parts Preferences: Doesn't matter.

Overclocking: No idea what that is.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe if its less expensive and not complicated.

Your Monitor Resolution: anything that looks good and fits my budget.

Additional Comments: Nothing much to say.

It is going to be very hard to give you an accurate build with your projected build date being so far away. I mean there are going to be new generations of CPUs and graphics cards coming out by then. We can give you a build now but it might be way different when Oct. 2013 comes around. Post back when you purchase date gets a little closer and we can nail it down for you.

Also adding on to cball's post it is going to be hard to get a decent gaming computer for $600 when you need an OS, monitor, and other peripherals because that is gonna drive the cost down to about 350 for a build. Not saying you can't get something worth $350 but it might not be up to the standards you want.
