More Information

After XP Pro decided to throw a shoe and crash big time, corrupting my Internet History, Internet Temporary Files, and 'allegedly' a few 'system32' files, my SB Live will not work? It worked before XP crashed!!

I ran the 'sigverif' program to verify system files, but only my nvidia drivers came back as unsigned, so I assume nothing serious was corrupted? The card is recognised and the drivers install, even the Creative XP drivers install OK, but in the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' there is 'No Audio Device' and all things pertaining to sound are greyed out? The card is showing in Device Manager with no conflicts and 'device is working properly' but still no sound?

How do I verify my XP Pro installation is in fact 'uncorrupted' and something hasn't been damaged in the crash which is preventing the Sound Card from working?

*FIXED IT* I re-installed XP! Obviously the 'pros' are not comfortable divulging their XP knowledge yet ;)
