GTX 660 new install not working

Hello,
I have a GTX 660 that I am installing on a new build. The mobo vga works fine, but when I install the 660, I get no monitor response (VGA NO SIGNAL). The mobo is a GA z77xup4th and the monitor is an ASUS vs278. Any ideas

  1. go into the BIOS on restart and disable the onboard graphics.

Already attempted this and had to reset cmos to get video. It does not appear to even recognize the monitor when I attach it to the 660.
  3. I'm not familiar with that Lucid video technology mumbo jumbo that board has. would that by any chance be a problem... trying to combine the intel on board with the graphics card?

and is there any kind of "switch"....... say kinda like in a laptop that has dual graphics?

    ( GPU Virtualization )
  4. plug in the extra power connector?
  5. The 660 only has a 6 pin connector
  6. did you try one of the other pci-e slots?
  7. yes, with same result
  8. can you try the card in another computer/yours-friends-neighbors?
