$500 Budget for Final Fantasy Online Build

Good morning everyone! I have a friend who asked if I could build him a gaming machine for at or below $500 that will play Final Fantasy Online.

He doesn't need a monitor or keyboard and mouse, just the tower itself. I was perusing around the specs online and they seem a little daunting for $500 but then again, I'm not much of a PC gamer, so I really have a hard time distinguishing between the different levels of specifications. Why can't they just list entry, recommended, and max specs for the game so it's a little more clear how it will perform.

Anyway, I appreciate the help in advance, as I got some great ideas in my thread about building more office workstations. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestion lhikary, I really have no idea about what it would take to run this game. How do you think the build you linked to would do?

I just saw the game that he is wanting to play is quite old actually! So I'm going to hunt around some of the other $500 build threads and get an idea of some more options. Thanks for the reply lhikary!
