Need some advice on an ugrade

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I'm needing to upgrade my PC's CPU and mobo as it's getting quite old, but I'm not sure what I should get.
My current setup is;
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5500
2Gb DDR3 10600 RAM
Sapphire HD 4870 1Gb
Fujitsu D3041 motherboard
296Gb HDD

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and motherboard but I'm not sure what to upgrade to so I would like some suggestions.
My preference of CPU is AMD and the motherboard would need to be able to support my DDR3 RAM, as I would like to use as much out of this system as possible.
My budget on mobo and CPU is around £100 - £150.

^Good choice on the motherboard. I would go with a 965BE though and clock it to 4.0ghz. Those chips are still great even though they use a lot of juice.
