Hello,

My PC has been very strange the last month or so. The slightest bump or something very small (such as me pulling my chair in) could cause my monitor to lose signal despite making sure my graphics card was secured in as tightly as possible, and all connections were correctly setup. Today my PC stopped giving out signal all together. At first I tried switching GPUs which seemed to work, and I could boot again, but now I'm getting no signal from either graphics card or from switching PCI slot. I've tried reseating multiple times and changed RAM etc but no luck. My monitor actually recognises that signal is trying to come through and the light goes blue to reflect this, but then just cycles from no signal to black screen again.

Is my Mobo going faulty?

Specs:

HD7970 3GB (card originally in PC)
i7 950 @ 3.2GHz
OCz Agility 60gb SSD
1TB HDD
4x2GB Corsair XMS3 RAM
750w Corsair PSU
Rampage II Extreme motherboard

I tried my old 8800 GTX which did work initially but has seemed to have stopped now.

Thanks in advance.

Two things to try before jumping to conclusions about the mobo:

Try a new signal cable.
Try a different monitor.

Oh yeah, I've done that, silly me.

I think a CMOS clear fixed it. At least, it's working at the moment.
