Need some help

I just barely got my "first build" built. Now, i see the start up menu, where you can start the BIOS, for just a second, then it says "Verifying DMI pool data...." and i can't do anything. I think it's the hard drive, because when i was installing it, my step dad touched the bottom, where it looks all gold and motherboard-esk, (sorry, i dont know the name of it) but im not sure, since, like i said, this is my first build. Thank you for any input

You have to go in to BIOS and set the boot order

DVD drive first .
Save and exit

Then put the windows dvd in the drive
and restart by pressing the power button on the case
