6670 power supply confusion...

I have a Nav tech PSU, details are as below,

Model- ATX 500T 20+4 Pin

AC INPUT- 220V3A 50 Hz

Fuse Rating-F5A 250V

DC OUTPUT- MAX 500W

+3.3V/14 amp..... +5V/20 Amp......+12V/10 Amp....... -12V/0.5 Amp ........+5VSB/2 Amp........



I would like to know how much ampere is available on +12 volt rail and shall i be able to run Readon HD 6670 1GB DDR3 ????
pls dont mind if i have asked a dumb question..as i am preety newb in these matters.

what else is in the computer? cpu? how many hdds? IMO the 10 amps on the 12v rail is not enough for much at all, a low power cpu, motherboard and 1 hard drive. get another psu.

I have one WD Gren sata 7200 RPM 1TB HDD, AMD Phenom X4 9550 2.2 Ghz processor and 1 DVD RW drive and 1 MSI K9N2GM motherboard.i guess it is a basic motherboard...nothing else.

That doesn't even come close to adding up to 500w And that 12V could barely run a CPU. Are you sure your reading it right? And there aren't multiple 12V rails. Maybe a pic would help...

Looks like it could be an (old) ATX 1.x PSU. Also, they're lying bastards. 500W? Not even close. You'll need a new PSU.

Yea... No matter how creative I get I can't get above about 260W. Ballsy even for a PSU maker. If that Web address is navtech.org it goes to a mobile phone maker lol.

Even if you don't upgrade the GPU I would STRONGLY recommend replacing the PSU ASAP

Buy new psu .it will not work.you need psu with atleast 18a on +12v rail
