If you want a real upgrade, your gonna want to go with an i5. A locked i5 is around the same price as a 8350 (i5 3470).

I'm rocking a 965 and a 7870. It destroys all those games (haven't played mechwarrior though) if that's any indication.

If I was going to spend that much on a proccesor, I would step up to an i5.

the 965 probably wouldn't bottleneck even a 7950. The 8350 is more of a side grade because games don't use that many cores and honestly Piledriver is better than bulldozer, but the older phenoms aren't much worse IMO.

Hmm Intel I have yet to own a Intel system I would still be rock en the old one but lighting kills all he he. I have not used Intel system for gaming only resign I go with AMD on norm is its been cheaper over Intel systems past few years. I will look at Intel build now see what it prices out as

I would love another 965BE but no stores around me sells them any more and on line they seem to cost as much as a new cpu.

How about an amd fx 6200? Great performance in games for 124$US it is only a tiny bit worse in games then the 8350. (for a lot cheaper price) extra money will net you a 7870 or maybe a 7950.
