Hello guys,

I have a problem with games. Whenever I run a game, black screen shows up, my computer freezes and I can do nothing, can't even shut down the PC so I must restart it. The web games work normally and I can surf and do stuff on PC with no problems but I just can't play games.

My PC specs in case it helps:

GFX: HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 (VTX3D)

Processor: Intel Pentium E5700 - Dual-Core CPU, 3.00 GHz

Package: Socket 775 LGA

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC.

Model: P5G41T-M LX2/GB

RAM: 4GB DDR3 400 MHz

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 (build 7601)

DX: DirectX 11

PSU: PLATINUM MS-400 ATX P4 (400W)

My driver: Catalyst 12.11-7900 MOD

I don't think that's a power supply issue. I've had this power supply for a few months and everything was working fine until today.

So someone gives you advice about replacing your no name PSU which probably supplies no where near the 400w it states it has, and you dismiss it. Id say exactly the same thing, its more than likely your PSU.
