Is your CPU bottlenecking ? Open up windows task manager, Go to Performance, Then start up the game.

Is your CPU percentage running high ? If so then your CPU is creating the problem, and would need upgraded.

Is it only BF3 that has this problem or have you tried other titles with the same result? Keeping in mind that BF3 is a very demanding game and you mentioned running it at ultra settings, I couldn't tell you what it should run but that's probably not far from the result you got.

Try running prime-95.

If one of your cpu cores has a error, then prime 95 will show you which core or cores made a error during testing.

Amd cpus and apus keep on working with the remaining cores and just shut down the bad ones, so no bsod, just the computer runs slower that is all.

3.6ghz might be too much for it, maybe try 3.4ghz and see what happens.

It sounds like a core is shutting down during gaming maybe.

my cpu is running at 85% (stock speed) when playing bf3 (1080p ultra and fov 90). I've just seen that my gpu is only running at 50% when i play bf3.
So i think the problem is that my gpu is not working 100%
And no it is in all games
I forgot to say this,the driver is 12.11beta 11
But when i play on low settings and a low res. then i got only 10-15 fps more
I'm new to pc gaming :ange:

Nono, Its your CPU, with it running at 85% it is bottlenecking, So your not able to take full advantage of your GPU, I would advise upgrading your CPU, because its running at max capacity, which means your GPU isn't able to run where it should.
