Hi,
How is this build?
I5 3570k
Sapphire radeon hd 7950 OC
16 gb 1600 mhz dr3 ram (corsair)
Asus P8Z68-V Pro/GEN3 Mobo
750 watt Corsair psu

I have 2*500gb hdds with ubuntu and windows 7 on them. I have a monitor and a case.
Will this build work together?
Am I missing anything?
This is around 750 pounds? anything better for that price?

Seems good to me, though 8 GB of ram would be more than enough.

go for z77, if not check if the version of bios that comes with this mb ,
supports ivy bridge, if it does not , and you will need to update bios urself for ivy bridge, then don't go there(it may work it may not), http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_722&item_id=049996
this is better choice for i5 3570

also if you don't intend to install 2 video cards a 550w psu is fine, if in the future you may install 2nd gpu then go for min 900w,

I agree the PSU is overkill (Unless you see it as a long-term investment).

Otherwise 750w is just fine for 7950 CF lol. 900w could do 3-way!

3570k overclocks , 7950,7970 also overclock with a clik of a mouse ,its there and you will use it sooner or later , that's why I think a solid psu is needed.

Look for an ASROCK z77 with at least 2x PCIe 3.0 . I believe the Extreme4 would work.
