Can someone outline the differences between these cards to me?
The price gap seems pretty significant, and in the Charts on this very site, the Ice x2 version seems to be the best card, while the 'standard' HIS 7970 is much, much lower on the list.
Why is this?
Is it worth the extra cash to buy the Ice x2???

Any advice or help would be great, thanks. :)

No it is not worth the money? For better cooling you cannot invest $70, you can get much better liquid cooling for about $130 arctic Cooling accelero hybrid VGA cooler ( http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_314&products_id=22186 ) review http://www.anandtech.com/show/6531/arctic-cooling-accelero-hybrid-vga-cooler-review-not-for-the-faint-of-heart/5 check the results for yourself.
If you wanna but a good card get a GHz Edition card of XFX or Gigabyte for about $450. And yes the $50 is worth it.

They have the same clock/memory speeds so there is NO difference other than that ugly cooler on the iceQ, and the reference one may be loud.

I prefer sapphire due to an awesome warranty experience that was not their fault. And they are a close AMD partner with great quality.

Has higher clocks, boosts to 1GHz, custom cooler, and should over clock well. Id never really consider HIS. Don't know why exactly though lol
