Quick thoughts or suggestions before buying!

Build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/DSjC
here's the psu: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182277
also, going to be buying the gfx card from here: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_558&item_id=055475

are there any last thoughts or suggestions I should have before buying?

Also, I'm not sure if this mobo is very great (or maybe it is?) -- is there better for a price that's not much higher?

  1. That PSU is bad, buy this and you'll have a very decent one.

these are very nice too, some Rosewill PSU's are good and this is one of them. It cost a lot more in Canada though.

  2. It's a good build and the card is a good choice, but, i rather get other psu than the rosewill stallion, like this one : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

    It's a seasonic oem psu.

    ^ +1

That power supply I would not trust to run a toaster oven.

Get this, its only $61 with free shipping.

That crapwill is $55 + $4 shipping, so for only a couple dollars more you get a quality seasonic built XFX PSU.

    Everything else looks sweet.
  4. I was told to get at least 600 watts on a psu, so I'm guessing that advice wasn't true?

That rosewill probably would fry itself if you tried to get 600w from it.

That xfx will EASILY run your system.
  6. For a 7950 it's recommended a 500W psu with 25A on the +12V rail, the xfx 550 core edition is a quality psu with 44A.
    You're fine.
  7. Thank you all :)
