What's the difference?

Don't know much about computers except how to put them together so could anyone tell me what makes the real difference in these two cards as I'm a higher number = better kind of guy but what matters in a graphics card for gaming? I don't mind the price difference as it's only $70 with the rebate, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The GTX 660 TI is faster. Anything with a GTX (number) TI is faster than the same model without the TI. The 660 Ti has 1344 cuda cores and the non ti has 960.

The 660 TI is faster, but not worth 70$ faster, because you can OC the normal 660 that high. Also would you consider getting the AMD HD7870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127662 A bit faster at higher res.

Or get the HD7950 for the price of the 660 TI and its faster yet with a 384bit. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127662

Not sure what you are planning on doing, if you don't care for Physx or Cuda (only a few titles use it) then way not get something thats faster from AMD for the same price. Again, your choice.
