Ok I took one of my players apart and put a disc in to see when
excactly it starts to make this strange grinding noice.

It is when the mechanism moves the disc up to the position
that it needs to be to be able to spin. It makes the noice
and the mechanism goes to resting position and it ejects
the disc.

It seems like a lubrication problem to me.

Can anyone confirm this or are there other things I
should take a look at?

Oh..and the most important thing...do you think it is
something I should try to fix myself or is it better if
I send it to a repair shop?
