Hello,

I built a system with the following:

A10 5800k APU
4 gigs of ram
Asus F2A55-M LE mobo
and reused my Windows XP 32 bit OS and hard drive

When I load starcraft 2 and it is crashing. I contacted blizzard with my fail logs and they say its a memory issue. Most likely caused on the hardware side of things. I ran memtest86 for 9 hours and did not get any errors.

So far I have reinstalled SC2 and started in selective start up and tried swapping my old GPU in with the same results. It seems my FPS skyrockets when the game freezes.

My initial thoughts are that maybe there is a conflict with xp not being able to use all of my memory or that my memory doesnt show up on the qualified vendor list in the mobo manual. I dont know if this would be an issue.

Should I try running drive sweeper and reinstalling the drivers? Or should I try installing a 64 bit system?

I'm kind of at a loss as this is my first build any input would be appreciated.

Solution
I would upgrade from xp just because of programs beginning to stop supporting it. It may or may not fix your issue but it would be a good investment anyway.
