Adding a second monitor to my rig.

Hello guys,
I am looking for a 120hz gaming monitor, but i am stuck with a problem.
this is my first monitor wich i have

when i bought this one i only used to XBOX game and it seemed a perfect tv for me.
loads of extensions dvi,hdmi,avg,scart wich would all be usefull to me.
i however never had tought of adding a second monitor into my rig ( or building my own gaming pc), so my question is will i be able to add a second monitor to my rig and will i be able to combine them as im pretty sure the sony is not designed for that.

You can't game across 2 Monitors.
You'll either need 1 or directly 3 Monitors to play.

i know that but i mean will be able to use simultaneously while not gaming like cross my mouse over to the other screen

You can.
But while gaming you'll only use 1 Monitor and the other would be Desktop or for Monitoring Temps etc.
I would rather get a Good GPU instead of the Second Monitor.

Do it, its awesome. Improves productivity a lot! I have 2 screens at work and at home and i can't live without it. Imagin watching a movie while being able to forum(which I am doing at this very moment by the way). Or playing a not-to-attentive game on one screen and watching a movie on the other.
