I have a computer from a few years back that I had been using until the video card fried in it. It had previously been running the GeForce 8400 GS so I just picked up a new GeForce GTX 650 1GB to replace it with.
Up until now I had been using the intergrated card to operate day to to. When I inserted the new video card and booted up all seemed fine for the first few seconds.
On the first black screen it started displaying the specs on the new video card then continues all the way until it displays the small progress bar at the bottom of the screen like it is loading Windows.
After this point it goes to the BSOD and reboots immediately. It only stays on the BSOD for a split second but I believe it states error 08e.
What I've tried so far:
-Removing the new card, booting up on intergrated. Deleting drivers for the intergrated card then reinstalling the new 650. Maybe I didn't clear the drivers properly?
Is there any way to load the new drivers that are needed before the new card is actually installed?
I'm not home at the moment to get my computers full specs but it is:
Windows 7 Ultimate
intel duo 2.33ghz
550W power supply
ECS 7050-M Motherboard
