Directx that works with win7

Hi
i am trying to install An e-cover design but it is asking for DirectX8.1 and higher version... I downloaded all higher version but it will not work...then what can I do then..?

Windows 7 ships with DirectX 11. You should not need to install any earlier versions. I would look at getting a newer version of the program if that one won't install (if one exists of course). Your other alternative would be to download Windows Virtual PC and a copy of Windows XP Mode if you are using Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, then install your e-cover design app into the XP VM system.

Technically yes, but there is no such thing as Windows XP Mode for Windows Vista. You would need to use a different virtualization product, such as VMware Workstation.
