Hello,I am trying fixing this problem lately and to come up with no solution. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and having 2 users. One is a standard user & administrator user. What confused me, the standard user can access internet flawlessly but under my administrator account, there's no internet connection. I have tried everything to disable/install the network adapter but to no avail, I can't set up an internet connection.

Under Internet Options>Connections>all settings are dimmed & cannot make any changes.

Please kindly help.

To be more specific here's the error code:

Package ID: NetworkDiagnostics

Path: C:\Windows\diagnostics\system\networking

Error Code: 0x80070005

Source: Engine

User: Windows7-PC\Admin User

Context: Restricted

I have seen this when you get infected with Malware. Try going into safemode as an Admin. Purge all temp, cookie files for the Administrator. Then load Malwarebytes and run a scan. Should work in safe mode. The IE temp files have an infected file that blocks internet (IE) access to the web.
