My friend dropped over a Dell XPS 200 with a pentium D 830 the other day and i just got around to being able to work on it. It currently does not have any ram, however, i'm going to be picking some up soon. When I plug in the power-supply there is a green flashing light light on the side of the motherboard next to the powersuply. And i'm not sure if dell has made a fail safe or the power button just isnt working. And if the power button isn'r working i need to find another way of getting it to start up. All of its front panel connectors combine into one to plug into the board using a ide like cable.
