Crossfire

I'm currently running two MSI Radeon HD6850 graphics cards in crossfire and while looking in the GPU-Z i saw that my second card was running at PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x4 2.0 while my first card was running at PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x16 2.0. I am still a bit confused on to what could be making that difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is because your 2nd 16xPCIe slot is only actually a 4x PCIe Slot
there is nothing you can do without changing your motherboard
