Press and hold the [ALT] key and enter "126" via the numeric keypad.

Hi al,

Have you tried the old hunt and peck in Notepad
before you start the game? If that doesn't allow you
to recreate the in game scenario, try switching your
keyboard language before you launch the game.

You might find this page of use

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev [...] oards.aspx

If you mouse over the ALT GR on the Swedish keyboard, I think you'll find
your tilde

:o)

On the Swedish keyboard, the "~" sign can be obtained by pressing simultaneously "alt gr" and the "~" key, then followed by pressing a space bar. If after pressing these two keys you press another key instead of the space bar, say "o" or "a", you get letters "õ" and "ã", with a "~" above the letters. If the tilde key is pressed without the "alt gr", and then followed again by a letter, we get "ö" and "ä". And if we press "shift" and tilde at the same time, and then other letters, we get "ô" and "â".
