Approximate Purchase Date: By Feb 28
Budget Range: <= $900
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Workstation + Office PC
Country: US
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Additional Comments:
I would be using this PC as a workstation + Office PC. It will be running 24x7. The main application it will be running is single threaded in itself but I will be running multiple processes of this application simultaneously - hoping to take advantage of all the cores. I have chosen the following parts

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/EbKQ

I am not sure if I would need a cpu cooler, though I have added it to this list. What would you recommend ?
Based on wattage calculations, this configuration should not be using more than 250W. Do you think the PSU I have chosen will be good for my needs ?

What would you think of the overall configuration ?

Please let me know if I have not supplied all the relevant info.

Thank you.

You don't need the CPU cooler if you are not going to overclock.

This is cheaper but a better workstation due to its 8 cores. :)
The Cx430 is a great PSU that only costs $27 after rebates.

Thanks.

Looks good. One reason you may want to go with a after market cpu cooler is the Intel push pin mounting of the stock cooler is really bad.

You don't need the CPU cooler if you are not going to overclock.
I won't be overclocking. I was wondering that in case I find that I do need a CPU cooler, I can always add it later or is that a bit of a hassle ?

I considered a similar build but then I reviewed/compared the two processors. Thought that since I can afford it, i7 would be the better choice.

Thanks. I will look into this.

This build would need a GPU, right?

If you want to leave the option of overclocking later on, you need to buy an unlocked processor, so the i7-3770k, e.g. It's pretty simple to take out an old cooler and add in a new one.

I thought so, but what I meant is that the build cutebeans suggested needs a discrete GPU because the FX-8320 does not have and integrated one. Either way it shouldn't be a problem, there are many cheap GPU's that would do the job you require

Adding a after market can be easy or a real pain. It all depends on if the mobo cutout on the case will allow you to get to all the holes to mount the cooler backplate without removing the mobo. You build is going to be $900 so spending the $30 for the cooler and doing it right the first time makes sense.
