More about need choosing
  1. So is this for a full PC or just a graphics card?
If just for a graphics card then this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127693
  2. You are going to have issues since thats a laptop your trying to upgrade. I dont think you will be able to upgrade it. I do have a Alienware M17xR4 with a 675m. It plays pretty much everything on high at 50+ fps.
  3. if you want the option to upgrade, get a desktop
  4. You are not very clear - gpu for desktop or laptop.

  5. Well, judging from your user name I would think your looking for a GPU for a desktop that has a 3930K so yea, GTX 680 4GB or HD 7970 3GB
  6. Tom's actually just did an article on this not too long ago...

  7. You can't upgrade the graphics card on most HP laptops because the Graphics card is either soldered into the board or custom designed to fit your laptop. Even if HP could do it for you they would charge you an exhorbitant amount of money. You might as well build your own Desktop or get a new gaming laptop.

The 7970 is better :). A lot of people said when I got mine that I should have gotten a GTX 680 which is very much the same and has less VRAM.
