If you have a micro center close by go get the CPU/Mobo combo there to save money

If his budget is $900 i suggest getting a better psu probably 500+ watt and get the currently on sale asus dc2 7870 at $210 at ncix comes with 3free games( crysis 3,tomb raider, bio, and if i remember a %20 of moh game

you can run a 7850 on any PSU with at least 24 amps on the 12v rail, including high quality 400W PSUs
