4 GB ram(crusair)
4 gb asus nvidia 630 video card
1 TB WD hdd

whenever i try to install win7 or even vista after sometime a blue screen appears with msg

"windows has detected an error and must shutdown immediately to prevent damage to your PC"

and it lasts until i restart the computer. i can't install any latest windows

but when i tried to install win xp (sp-2) it worked :pfff:

i searched for solution and i found this to change bios setting from IDE to ACHI so i did and tried then the installation process stood longer but then the same problem...

More about having problem installation
  1. i5 3570 with a GT630.

    OMG.

Your windows 7 must be faulty?!
  2. what RAM are you using . EXACT model and a link
  3. check in BIOS that the RAM is running at the correct XMP profile
    9-9-9-24 and 1.5 volts

Then try plugging the mb end of the hard drive data cable into one of the other SATA ports . There are two white SATA ports that face directly down . Use one of those

You probably formatted the HDD with the BIOS in IDE(??) If so, set it in ACHI and formatt the HDD, then install Windows 7.
