I'm about to get a new PC mainly for video editing but also for some PC gaming. A friend works at the microcenter near me and is helping me get a lot of the parts for cheaper. I plan to get the parts over the next few weeks and build by the start of March. I already have a case, mobo, and CPU. I'm getting the remaining components within 2 weeks from now. When doing a final verification, I noticed that the GPU I selected requires PCIe 3.0 while my mobo only supports up to 2.0. So far I haven't been able to find video card with similar capabilities that supports 3.0.

CPU: AMD FX 8320 Black Edition 3.5GHz

1. The graphics card doesn't require PCI-e 3.0, but it can run on PCI-e 3.0, but it's backwards compatible with 2.0.
2. The only motherboards that have PCI-e 3.0 are motherboards for intel CPUs. So there aren't any motherboards for your CPU that you can get with PCI-e 3.0.
