I am right now planning to make a budget gaming pc. here are the specs i am interested

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 ghz

i need a GPU worth handling 19" LCD monitor without overkil. Budget -- Upto $180

  1. What's the resolution on the monitor?
    your processor should be alright
  2. A Radeon 7850 might be a bit overkill but it's a fantastic card and will also allow you to max games out at that res for the next 4 years I reckon...

Also, the CPU is still plenty for games.
  3. thats what I was probably going to recommend, I would say get a 660 but that would be too much.
Take a look at this, it should suite you perfectly as you won't be gaming at really high resolutions on a 19" monitor.

Could The 7770 handle 19" screen. it comes in a lower budget. How greater will be performance of 7850 in comparison with 7770 and 5770/6770
  8. he could get a ghz edition 7770
  9. hd 7770 can easily handle that resolution.hd 7850 is very powerful than hd 7770

  10. 7850 would give him a while before upgrade
  11. Hd 7850 will be future proof for next 3 years

    What about a 6850 vs 7770??
  13. Best answer
    well,
no offence to the 7770 but the 7850 is much better
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/Catalyst_12.11_Performance/5.html
    look at 1680x1050,
the 7770 good enough for that resolution.
but why get something that is good enough, rather than something that is a lot better than just "good enough"
with a 7850 u can be a lot future-proof, and u can put higher AA too!!
and in some games 7770 can just push 30+ FPS, what will happen after 2-3 years?
and given that the next gen consoles, might launch this year or next,
the 7770 would be too weak, but 7850 is a lot powerful than the 7770,
    last longer than the 7770
    and therefore a better choice
  14. Yeah get the 7850, take a look at this one, it fits your budget

Hd 6850 is better than hd 7770 mainly in AA.i would simply get hd 7770 as it newer gen card with support of dx11.1 and lower power card than hd 6850.

    Does newegg ship to india??
  17. no newegg does not ship to india but you can order from flipkart.com
and i would also suggest you get the 7850 if you can spare the extra cash. 7770 costs about 8000 rs while 7850 costs about 13000 rs. but 7850 will easily last you 3 years while 7770 maybe about 2 years so its upto you to decide. save now or future proof yourself?
  18. Get hd 7770 or hd7850 at flipkart.com
