What psu is needed for a gaming pc

Hey guys,
I'm a bit unsure on what psu I would need for my pc the specs are:

Intel core i5 3570k 3.4ghz
Corsair vengeance 4gb ddr3 (x2)
Sapphire radeon hd7850 2gb

I'm also thinking of installing another hd7850 in the future so please bear that in mind

since you are planning to setup a cf config later...i would recommend you go for at least 700W psu of a good company just in case you might also like to oc your cpu.

look for at least 80+ bronze certification.

500W is plenty for that configuration, including overclocking. An XFX 550W PSU would be a good fit.

Edit: Oh, thinking about adding a second 7850. Yeah then 650-750W would be about right.

He'll just have to be careful about his PCI-e connector count, as several of those only have 2xPCI-e power connectors and depending on what 7850s he is getting, he might need 4 connectors to power both cards.

Oh yeah, most 7850s I've seen only uses a single 6-pin (Powercolor PCS, Sapphire, MSI) but apparently something like XFX Double D requires 2 6-pin (I just checked it).

yes indeed the xfx double d requires 2 6 pin connectors....but it draws the same level of power from it as the other 7850s.

but he will need 4 such connectors though not any extra power
