  1. for what purpose do you intend to use this machine for?
  2. Well it depends on your mobo more, but I'm going to guess that you should be fine. There are other options out there too, but the 520 should work.

    * Did you have a budget for your upgrade?
    * Can you give us all of your system specs too?
  3. For Gaming..at least to play some past games

  5. Well, I guess I'll break the ice and be the one to say you haven't provided nearly enough information for anyone to make a valid assessment of your question. Please research these forums and repost the specs generally needed to answer these types of inquiries.

I didn't mean to sound smarmy. But things like power supply specs and motherboard type are very integral to your question.
  6. you might also consider the gt640 which is much better...i believe you chipset is 945/965 or somewhere around those lines.
  7. I'd personally go with the AMD 7750 as the minimum, but not sure where the OP is buying his parts.

  9. does it will help to play games....does nvidia gt 210 would work
  10. well everything works if you want them to....just a matter of choice, how good you want the graphics to look?
  11. Get 2gb ram more and get gt630 as your pci is 1.0 with nvidia you will be safe
  12. some said that Nvidia gt 520 1GB is doubtful when consider about my pc performance.is it okay to buy this vga..does this work on my pc
  13. What is the brand and model (not just wattage) of the PSU? Even a relatively weak OEM PSU that is at least 300W should be able to handle a HD7750. If the PSU is only 250W, then you are probably limited to a HD6450 unless you replace your PSU. This system is sufficiently old that upgrading it piecemeal is probably not a worthwhile use of funds.
  14. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions.

I would say in general I would pick the 5450, but it's up to you. The GT 520 is good too for the $, so which ever is cheaper.
