Hello, I recently posted on here about my computer being unable to turn on. I've somehow fixed that, but now I'm encountering a new problem. Occasionally, my computer will restart without warning and reboot and I receive the error "ASUS has detected a power surge during previous power on". Is this a power supply issue, because I feel like it has been the bane of my existence for a while

Specs are

Intel i7 3930k
evga GTX 680
8 gb RAM
Corsair hx1000w Power Supply

Thanks!

Power surges can effect the power supply, as well as come from the power supply.

Most likely the power in your house is surging. You have a good power supply, even though it says corsair, its made by Seasonic:

You should have an UPS between your computer and the wall socket. This protects the power supply from brown outs as well as surges.

Both can damage and even kill a power supply.
