Is it possible to upgrade my gaming capabilities? Not wanting to play new 2012+ games, but maybe a few from 3-5 or so years ago (Starcraft 2 would be great and is my goal for this machine).

Here's what I have:

Dell XPS 400 with Pentium D 2.8ghz
4gb DDR2
375 watt power supply
XFX GT8400
Windows XP home

Is there a GPU out there that will work with the 375 watt PSU and is worth the time and $$$? Maybe something 5 years old or so that is still out there in the newegg site? Keep in mind the cripling effect of the Pentium D mentioned above...

I'm looking to spend no more than $100, as anything more than that would just be bottle necked by the CPU anyway.

thanks everyone!

No. Starcraft II requires a dual core CPU to be playable.

That computer is far to old to be upgraded.

A couple of years ago, my first computer had a 2.4 GHz Celeron from the Core2 generation and SC2 was unplayable at 1024x768 minimum settings on the first campaign mission. Anything for multiplayer, you are going to require a new machine .
