I am a first time new builder. I have assembled the computer and plugged everything in appropriately, the screen is not showing anythying, I do not have a motherboard speaker(yet) to tell you about beeps. I can't access the BIOS or anything because the screen is not posting.

History: There is none.
Full Story: I read the http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-ste...
I followed all of the steps.
I do want to note that the video card was a bit loose but I fixed that.

Specs:
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

MSI Computer Corp. ATI Radeon HD7770 1020 MHz 1GB DDR5 PCI-Express 3.0 x16 Graphics Cards R7770-2PMD1GD5/OC

Kingston Technology HyperX Blu 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM KHX1333C9D3B1/4G (1)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heat Pipes (RR-B10-212P-G1)

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD5000AAKX

Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX500)

Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)

AMD Phenom II X4 965 AM3 3.4Ghz 512KB 45NM 125W 4000MHZ

I thought the video card was DOA, So I sent for a replacement, the new card has not changed anything,
I just sent an exchange for a new HyperX 4gb thinking that might be the problem.
I plugged everything in I have tried booting from all possible dram slots.
I pressed the DRAM button and light turns red and blinks continually.

The video card was a little loose but I applied more pressure and it is now firmly locked in place.

Thanks in advance for all replies/help.

it wasn't a bad dram stick. My family keeps telling me that I connected something wrong but I don't think I have everything Is connected to where the motherboard says to connect it to.

I am having the same issue. I have everything plugged in, all lights and fans come on. The DRAM light stays continuously red. I have tried using the tune switch, it blinks while i'm holding it, but as soon as I let go it goes back to a continuous light. I have 2 sticks of Corsair Vengeance 4gb 1600mhz sticks and 1 Kingtston HyperX 1600mhz stick. I've tried putting them in different slots 1 at a time, i've tried them together. I get no video out. I currently do not have a graphics card in as I am just trying to get Windows loaded.
