I have an application that currently drives 4 1280 x 1024 projectors, we plan to upgrade to large LCD panels w/ a resolution of 3840x2160 or 5 2x2 matrices with each monitor being 1920x1080. Each 2x2 matrix would take a single 3840x2160 input via Displayport or DVI-D. So that would look allot like the first solution to the workstation driving the display.
What I am looking for is a card or cards that could drive this configuration from a windows XP workstation. The custom software is tested and supported on XP only, and would be millions to replace, so anything that does not run on XP is not an option.
The graphics are simple graphics, no 3-D, slow refresh between 5 and 10 fps. The current workstation has 2 pcix slots, but a new workstation would not be a problem if more slots are needed, such as some of the Matrox solutions.
Any recommendations for video cards that can do this, or any that say they can, that I should avoid?
