(i hope this is the right location for this question, I wasnt sure)

My current system uses:
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H motherboard
Intel i5-3570k w/ stock cooler
GeForce GTX 275 graphics card

My girlfriend got a new hdtv for christmas, and I would like to connect my computer to it via HDMI to play movies for her.

The problem:
My graphics card(GTX 275) that I have been using for gaming over the integrated HD4000 graphics on the i5, DOESNT HAVE an hdmi port on it, its too old... but the motherboard DOES have an hdmi port.

Maybe I forgot to install the drivers for the hd4000, or the hdmi port driver, when i redid things?

At worst, I would like to be able to use the port and play movies on the tv, even if I need to swap to using the integrated graphics while doing this...does the gtx 275 not work outputting with the motherboards hdmi port because its too old?

IDEALLY, i would like to be able to play movies out of the hdmi port (with the integrated graphics?) for her, WHILE ALSO being able to still game with my gtx275 on my monitor :D

What am I doing wrong, and what is possible with my setup?

if you can get a signal from the DVI port from your motherboard the HDMI ought to work. if not, go into the bios and enable multi monitor support for the igpu.
