Recently bought parts for a gaming pc and built it, only to find out my friend had a windows 7 ultimate full edition so needless to say I used that. I was going to return it (newegg) but found out I couldn't... what should I do with it?

Just keep it around in case you ever need to switch motherboards or want to dual boot OS's.

^ This.

And hope your pirated copy did not come with a nice keylogger. The only reason to have Ultimate is for Bitlocker, XP mode and automated backups. If you need all that then Ultimate is only about $60 more when buying OEM.

Pirated Copies = Viruses.

It must mean you have used a pirated copy and know it firsthand
