I've been putting together my first box and I've run into trouble. I'm unable to go anywhere other than my Soyo Dragon+ motherboard BIOS. I've tried booting with CD (XP) and a floppy but no luck. Any ideas for a troubled beginner?

What exactly happens when you try to boot?

It'd help better to be more detail, alright? Cool.

Anyways, make sure the CD drive is checked to boot before the floppy disk and hard drive. You don't need a floppy to install Windows XP...the CD is bootable.

Yeah, make sure everything's connected right (it can be hard to tell if a cable is plugged in all the way sometimes), and then set your boot order in your bios to have the CDROM first. Turn on the power, and before the POST is finished, insert the CD. Keep clicking <OK> or <NEXT> until windows is installed
