Hello

My Dell XPS20 with Q6600 mb is dying.

I want to build a new computer. I have two choices but need help about which is the best to do.

1) Take the parts from the Dell that are still good, cpu, psu(aftermarket good one), gpu(GTX 560), ram, hd, dvdrw drive and put into a new case with a LG775 mb which I found used. A Gigabyte GA-G33-DS3R.

Problem is that when I lchecked to see if Windows 8 supports this board, the Gigabyte website doesn't show any drivers available for it.
That means I would have to buy Windows 7 which is expensive.

2) Take the DVDrw drive, psu, gpu and buy something from Sandy Bridge or Ivory Bridge and build new which means a new case, cpu, mb, ram, hd.

I need something a.s.a.p because I am taking college classes online.
I don't have lots of money right now to spend on it, maybe 400 to 500 dollars at the most, and that is pushing it.

Which is the best option?
I have to buy a new OS either way, but with a new build with Sandy or Ivory bridge cpu's its windows 8 which is cheaper than 7.

If the build of just replacing the mb and purchasing a new case to use with the parts I already have is best for now, than I will go with that. But with that I would have to buy Windows 7.

Please help with suggestions.
I will have more money later to build a new machine

Solution
I would go with option two...get a new cpu/mobo/ram/power supply and re use your video card, hard drive, case
you should contact your college and ask if they have any deals for students when it comes to windows licenses...i got a free windows 8 copy for being in computer hardware class lol

If option 2, can I get into that for 400 to 500 dollars? If so, which cpu?

The case I cannot use because it is a Dell which means it is made opposite from a regular case. My psu is good because it is aftermarket and its a 750 watt 53 or 58A with 12v and 2 6(2) connectors for the video card.
