Hello,

First time question on first time build.

I have the following:

i5 3570k
asrock z77 extr. 4
corsair 4gb ram X2
dvd rw drive
seagate 2tb 7200 rpm HDD
Crucial m4 SSD 128 gb
Cooler master hyper 212
corsair cx430 PSU
windows 7
and i own, but may or may not use, a GT430 GPU.

All inside a Zalman z9. Must admit I bought a 120mm LED fan. Not my finest hour.

Question is, will the 430w PSU be sufficient for my build? This started out as a budget build but I changed my mind midway through my purchases.

Also, is the GT430 worth using?

My primary uses are light gaming, photo and HD video editing, and general use. I do NOT plan on overclocking anytime soon.

Also, running through Newegg and other PSU calculators shows a surplus of 100w.

Any help would be appreciated!

gt430 is more powerful than your on board video.

cx430 is sufficient.
