Hey guys just wondering if anyone can help me, as I was way out of the techno loop when this card came out .
I recently picked up a GeForce 280 GTX 1GB for 40 quid, I have a computer I like to use it in that currently contains a Core2Duo E7500 and a 750W power supply but it only has 2 6 pin PCI-E connecters not an 8 pin which is needed for the card.

Basically what I'm trying to get at here is what do I need to get this card running at full performance whilst being as cheap as possible.

Thanks guys :D

No. Stop. Any 750w with only two 6 pins is a cheap power supply. Even my moderate quality 550w has one 8 pin and a 6 pin. What model/make is it?

You actually do not need an adapter.

Anyway, card won't run at full performance with an adapter because it is still only a 6 pin from the PSU. It isn't going to magicly create the energy difference between the 6 and 8 pin.
