Hello, I have recently put together a gaming PC.

SPECS:
Windows 8 64-bit
Gigabyte GA990FXA-UD3 motherboard
AMD FX-4170 Quad-Core 4.2GHz
8 Gigs of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 video card

When playing games (Battlefield: Bad Company 2, War of the Roses, Ect.) I get fine FPS about 50-80, then all of the sudden my GPU usage maxes out and crashes the game, Why?

I know a fair bit about computers but this is just baffling me, anything helps.
Thanks.

Now when you guys say maxed out you mean the card itself/ the memory load? Yes GPU-Z will show you I believe this as well as afterburner and a few other programs. Your card ib is a bit older and you are running on a 120hz monitor which will optimize your card a little more so its quite possible you are using more up because of it.

Ya my memory load never maxes out (close some times) but my CPU load is always maxed. Even when I had a 560 TI (about equal to my current card). I'm running at 1920x1080 and only getting about 50 FPS on WOW Ultra (mostly, some stuff turned down.) so I don't think my monitor's capability is a factor.

Point being, I'm not sure the CPU load showing maxed is the OP's problem. They never mentioned CPU or Ram as you just asked for clearification.
