This is my first time posting in these forums, and I'm wondering about the whole dead pixel issue. I was wondering if someone could give me some more information about them. I recently purchased a Samsung 152T for my father and it seems to be a good monitor as one of Tom's articles stated. I would like to get an lcd for myself eventually, but I'm pretty happy with my Viewsonic CRT. My questions are what is the life expectancy of an LCD, how do dead pixels occur, and how often do they occur? I guess what I'm trying to ask is if an LCD is worth it right now? Thanks for your answers.

LCD monitors are so sensitive that it should be kept from slight hits from hard objects. Magnets can totally shatter the pixels in the LCD, so keep it away.

A 17" Flat CRT Monitor is always my favorite up to today.
